TOA Polyurethane Waterborne Toa Polyurethane 1K Waterborne Gloss is a 100% aromatic polyurethane dispersion (Pure PUD). It is fast-drying , high gloss , highly adhesive with wood and highly resistant to scratch , abrasion and alcohol. Paint film is transparent and light amber , similar to solvent-based Polyurethane.

TOA Polyurethane Waterborne Gloss #WP01 is 100% aromatic polyurethane dispersion(pure PUD). The properties of this product are fast dry, high gloss, excellent adhesion, good abrasion resistance, good scratch resistance, good alcohol resistance and amber look compared to the traditional solventborne polyurethane resins.
Recommend for parquet, interior woodwork and DIY interior wood furniture, for example; table, chair, cabinet and etc.
APPLICATION SYSTEM Surface Preparation
Old surface
The surface must be clean and free of dirt, grease, oil, wax, salt, old paint and other contaminants.
New surface
1. Use TOA abrasive paper no. 240 – 320 to sand the wood surface until smooth.
2. Fill all wood crack and hole by filler.
3. Sand again until the smooth surface is obtained.
4. Clean the surface until no dust remain.
Coating system
Primer
1. Apply by brush with TOA Wood Preservative 1 coat. (Recoatable time is at least 30 minutes)
2. Apply by brush with TOA Wood Primer #T-2000 1 coat. (Recoatable time is at least 1 hour)
Topcoat
1. Apply by brush with TOA Polyurethane Waterborne Gloss #WP01 at least 4 coats. (Recoatable time is at least 2 hours)
2. Before topcoat any layer, TOA abrasive paper no. 320 – 400 are recommended to sand the surface which provide good intercoat adhesion and smooth the surface.
Recommendation
The temperature of the substrate should be minimum 10 ํC and at least 3 ํC above the dew point of the air, temperature and relative humidity measured in the vicinity of the substrate. Good ventilation is required in confined areas to ensure correct drying.
HANDLING AND STORAGE
Storage condition
The product must be stored in accordance with national regulations.
Keep the containers in a dry, cool, well ventilated space and away from source of heat and ignition. Containers must be kept tightly closed.
